MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Job Objectives
The Deputy Director of Business is responsible for building, managing, and implementing the overall business strategy of VGCT, focusing on strategic product lines such as:
· Rapid hemostatic drugs,
· Biological corneal grafts,
· Stem cell technology – immune cells,
· Other advanced biomedical technology products.
The long-term goal is to position VGCT as a pioneering enterprise in the commercialization of biotechnology and regenerative medicine in Vietnam and the ASEAN region.
2. Job Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning:
· Advise the Board of Directors in developing short, medium, and long-term business strategies.
· Analyze the market, assess competitors, customer needs, and trends in the biomedical – healthcare industry.
· Develop revenue, profit, market share, and development goals for each stage and product line.
Market & Customer Development:
· Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with hospitals, the Ministry of Health, the Military Medical Department, research institutes, distributors, and international strategic partners.
· Seek and expand opportunities for technology transfer, R&D collaboration, and commercialization of biological products.
· Build and manage a distribution network for biomedical and regenerative medicine products both domestically and internationally.
Management & Operations:
· Manage, train, and develop the sales team: establish KPIs, monitor performance, train skills, and build an effective culture.
· Optimize sales and marketing processes and closely coordinate with the Marcom – External Relations – R&D – Legal departments to ensure effective business operations.
· Monitor key business indicators (revenue, costs, gross profit, customer conversion rate) and propose solutions to enhance performance.
Reporting & Data Management:
· Prepare periodic reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly) on business results, market trends, and action directions.
· Ensure transparency, accuracy, and security in all business and financial activities.
3. Development Orientation
The Deputy Director of Business at VGCT will play a strategic role in:
· Commercializing VGCT’s advanced biotechnology in Vietnam and the ASEAN region.
· Leading the “Made in Vietnam – Innovated for the World” strategy in the field of regenerative medicine.
· Contributing to building the National Biotechnology Ecosystem, aiming to bring Vietnam on par with China in biotechnology within the next 5 years.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor's degree or higher in Economics, Business Administration, Biomedical, Pharmacy, or related fields in Biotechnology.
· A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the business of medical products, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices, with at least 3 years in a senior management position.
· Deep understanding of the healthcare market, product licensing processes, medical bidding, and the pharmaceutical-biotechnology supply chain.
Skills & Competencies:
· Leadership, strategic planning, and effective decision-making skills.
· Negotiation, presentation, and high-level partnership-building skills.
· Sharp market insight into biotechnology and global innovation trends.
· Proficient in English (candidates with additional knowledge of Chinese or Japanese are preferred).
· Innovative spirit, results-oriented, and ability to work under high pressure in a technology startup environment.
