MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Design primary and secondary rocket structures (airframe, interstages, motor casing interfaces, payload section, fins)
Develop detailed 3D CAD models and engineering drawings
Perform tolerance stack-up and fit-check analyses
Support material selection and manufacturing process definition
Coordinate closely with computational simulation engineers to validate structural integrity
Support ground testing, structural testing, and design iteration
Participate in configuration control and design reviews (PDR, CDR)
Contribute to mass optimization and structural efficiency efforts
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
Minimum 3–5 years of mechanical design experience (aerospace or high-performance mechanical systems preferred)
Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX, or equivalent)
Knowledge of aerospace materials (aluminum alloys, composites, high-strength steels)
Understanding of structural load paths, vibration environments, and high-acceleration systems
Familiarity with manufacturing processes (CNC machining, composite layup, welding, bonding)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in launch vehicles, sounding rockets, missile systems, or UAV structures
Exposure to structural testing and hardware qualification
Familiarity with systems engineering processes
Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams
