Job Objective:
To oversee all maintenance operations at the trial factory, ensuring both the factory equipment and the produced UAVs are maintained to the highest standards of functionality, safety, and reliability. This role includes developing maintenance schedules, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. The Maintenance Manager is also responsible for establishing maintenance procedures for both the factory machinery and UAVs, and will ensure the proper documentation of all maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a maintenance schedule for all factory equipment, including machinery for PCB manufacturing, SMT soldering, laser engraving, CNC machines, 3D printers, and other production tools. Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and safely. Manage the repair and maintenance of all factory equipment, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Ensure maintenance procedures are well-documented. Maintain an inventory of spare parts.
- Establish and implement maintenance procedures for all UAV models, including pre-flight checks, post-flight inspections, and regular maintenance tasks. Ensure that all UAVs are maintained in accordance with CT-UAV’s quality and safety standards. Provide maintenance training for pilots, technicians, and clients. Ensure proper maintenance of UAV batteries and payloads.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians. Manage daily work schedules and performance. Provide technical guidance and support to team members. Conduct regular performance reviews, feedback, and implement training plans to improve technical skills.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring that necessary parts are available when needed. Develop and maintain a system for tracking and reordering parts. Coordinate with procurement to source high-quality parts.
- Implement quality control processes for maintenance activities, ensuring all repairs and maintenance tasks are performed to a high standard. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures. Regularly inspect the factory for safety hazards and take corrective action. Implement and adhere to safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts replacements. Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance activities, issues, and recommendations to the Factory Manager. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Document all maintenance procedures and protocols.
- Work closely with the production team to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting production schedules. Collaborate with the R&D team to understand new technologies and products. Work with QC to ensure maintenance meets standards. Coordinate with external suppliers, vendors and clients.
- Establish and document all maintenance-related SOPs. Continuously evaluate existing maintenance processes and procedures and propose enhancements for efficiency and effectiveness. Implement changes to SOPs as required.
Qualifications
- Technical degree or diploma in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering.
- Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
- Experience with UAV technology and maintenance procedures is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of factory machinery maintenance and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and safety procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience with technical documentation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English for technical documentation.
Authority
- Manage the daily operations of the maintenance department, including scheduling personnel, procuring parts, and maintaining equipment.
- Be responsible for ensuring all maintenance work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Be able to assign, transfer personnel within the maintenance department.
- Be able to establish maintenance schedules and procedures.
Coordination Relationship
- Internal: Work closely with the Factory Manager, Production team, R&D, and Quality Control.
- External: Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and clients.
